Dixon

The name Dixon in Ireland is usually of immigrant origin having been brought to the country by settlers from England, especially during the seventeenth century. The natve Gaelic O'Diochon Sept of Counties Derry and Antrim sometimes anglicized their name to Dixon, as well as Deehan, Dickson and Deighan.
