Fisher

The name Fisher in Ireland is often of Anglo origin having been brought to the country by settlers in the seventeenth century. It was also adopted by members of the native Gaelic O'Bradain Sept of Connaught, which was more usually anglicized to Salmon. The Scottish name MacInesker was also sometimes changed to Fisher.
