Garvey

The name Garvey in Ireland is derived from either the O'Gairbhith or the MacGairbhith native Gaelic Septs who were located in Counties Armagh and Donegal respectively. The O'Gairbhiths were a branch of the O'Hanlons of the same area. Garvan and Garvin are variants of this name which can also be derived from the County Kerry based O'Garbhain Sept.
