Garvin

The name Garvin in Ireland is derived from the native Gaelic O'Garbhain Sept who were located in County Kerry and who are akin to the Moriartys. The name is taken from a Gaelic word meaning 'rough'. It is in the Province of Munster that the majority of descendants can still be found.
