Halpin / Halperin

The Irish name Halpin is derived from the native Gaelic O'hAilpin Sept that was located in the Province of Munster and in County Limerick in particular. Variants include the Monaghan name Halpeny, Halfpenny, and the Scottish name MacAlpin.
