Hastings
The name Hastings in Ireland was assumed by the native Gaelic O'hOistin Sept of Counties Mayo and Limerick, who also used the name Histon as the anglicized form of their name. The name was also brought to Ulster by settlers, especially during the seventeenth century, who also used the name Hastie.
