Jennings

The name Jennings in Ireland is of dual origin being derived from the native Gaelic Mac Sheoinin Sept of Connaught who were a branch of the Burkes. It is also of Norse origin being taken from the names Jen and Jan. The majority of descendants can still be found in Connaught, especially in Counties Galway and Mayo.
