Rochfort / Rochford / Rocheford
Rochford is of Anglo-Norman origin having been brought to the country by settlers in the twelfth century. The Norman form of the Cork branch was de Ridelsford. The town of Rochfordbridge is evidence of the County Meath branch. Several variants exist including Rastabhard and Risibard.
