Taaffe
Los TAAFFE se establecieron en Irlanda después de la invasión anglo-normanda y adquirieron rápidamente considerable importancia social. Tiene por armas una cruz de plata, freteada de azur, y por cimera un brazo armado que tiene en la mano una espada con el pomo y la empuñadura de oro, y por lema “In hoc signo spes mea”.
The name Taaffe in Ireland is of Welsh origin and translates as 'son of David'. It was brought to the country in the thirteenth century. The initial settlement points were in the Province of Connaught where it is stil lwidespread. Taa is a variant.
